In recent years as a society, we have come to be reliant on single use plastics. From the obvious things such as plastic water bottles, plastic silverware, and single use plastic straws, to the less obvious things like loofahs, toothbrushes, and razors. We have been trained to think that once we throw away these plastics they are no longer a problem to us. In reality, these plastics take over 1000 years to decompose which destroys ecosystems, kills animals, and poisons our food. That’s why it’s so important to switch to more sustainable products to encourage large corporations to use sustainable packaging and control their pollution.
